Supported Care has recently completed its Stage 2 NDIS Certification Audit (DIS1400), with the audit now formally closed. The organisation received no major or minor nonconformities, along with three areas recognised as “Conformity with Elements of Best Practice”. This level of outcome is uncommon across the sector, particularly during a full certification audit process.
The recognitions covered governance and operational management, continuous improvement practices, and the implementation of behaviour support plans. Auditors noted clear evidence that processes were not only documented but consistently understood and applied across day-to-day operations.
The governance and operational management recognition reflected how incidents, risks, and operational decisions are managed across the organisation. Auditors observed clear accountability structures, active oversight from leadership, and follow through in how matters are documented and addressed.
The recognition in feedback, complaints, and continuous improvement focused on how Supported Care responds to feedback from participants, families, staff, audits, and internal reviews. Rather than treating feedback as a compliance task, the audit found that it is actively used to review practice, identify gaps, and improve service delivery over time.
A further recognition was given under behaviour support implementation. This related to how behaviour support plans are carried out in practice across frontline teams, leadership, and clinical supports. Auditors acknowledged the consistency in how supports are delivered, along with the focus on dignity, safety, and person-centred care.
For Supported Care, the result also reflects the work happening behind the scenes across operational teams, housing teams, support workers, coordinators, clinicians, and leadership. Audits only capture a short period of observation, but outcomes like this are shaped by the consistency of daily practice over time.
The result comes as Supported Care continues expanding its services across NDIS, NIISQ, Supported Living, and Support@Home. The audit outcome provides a strong operational foundation as the organisation continues to grow its service delivery across multiple care pathways.
