Urban Village at Beacon Street opens November 2026

Our first Urban Village opens at Beacon Street, Morayfield in November 2026. It is 15 self-contained one-bedroom units across 3 single-storey homes, built for people who want their own front door with support close by. You do not need SDA funding to live here.

Your own unit

Each unit has its own living area, kitchenette, ensuite, built-in robe, air-conditioning and balcony. Rent includes utilities and Wi-Fi.

Shared spaces

Each home has 5 units, a shared lounge, a full kitchen and a balcony. The 3 homes share landscaped gardens and a covered BBQ area. Every home is stepless throughout, and 1 unit in each home is fully wheelchair accessible. Shops and public transport are within walking distance.

Support on site

Each home has 2 staff rooms. Support can be on site around the clock, or only at the hours you need. Supports are funded through your NDIS plan and can be set up as SIL (shared 1:3 or 1:2, or 1:1) or as an ILO arrangement.

Who it suits

People with psychosocial disability who need stable long-term housing with ongoing support, including people moving out of hospital or out of larger SIL houses.

Leaving hospital

Beacon Street is set up for people who are medically ready to leave hospital but have nowhere suitable to go. Discharge teams, social workers and support coordinators can refer directly. A registered nurse from Supported Care can meet the patient on the ward before discharge, so supports are in place from the day they move in.

Next step

Applications are open. To ask about a unit, arrange a site visit or send a referral, call (07) 3189 4877 or email referrals@civitas.au
